The Metro-Capitol Leadership Academy is a camp designed to teach section leaders and drum majors conducting, peer teaching techniques, pedagogy for running sectionals and full ensemble, sequential skill-based techniques in your areas, and leadership techniques. Whether you have a competitive or non-competitive ensemble, the skills students learn at this camp will strongly benefit your entire program.
To sign-up for the camp, there is a two-step process. Step 1: Register (link below). Step 2: Pay (see payment information below). Both steps must be completed to secure your spot in the camp. Each camp has an early and late registration amount, so be sure to register and pay before the initial deadline if possible.
The 2023 MCLA camp is being held June 22-24 at West Salem High School, 1776 Titan Drive NW, Salem, OR 97304.
You can send a check or use the PayPal on this page to complete your payment. There is a small credit card/processing fee added when paying using PayPal.
If registered by June 10, the cost is $260 by check or $272 using PayPal. If registered June 11 or later, the price is $300 by check or $314 using PayPal. For "odd amounts" caused by scholarships or booster partial payments, log into your PayPal account and choose the "send money" option. Send your "odd amount" to firstname.lastname@example.org. If you choose this option, be sure to indicate the name of the camp and which student(s) the payment is for in the notes.
